about

shut beyond dark like the space between breaths. the past is itself.

review of 'A Fictional Past'

"Dark, eerie, pleasant drones.

Ambiguous music often makes people more intrigued. This is the case with paper tether's latest album, Reservoir, released on Deciduous Records. Little is known about the Washington, DC artist, and a minimalistic approach defines all of the songs on this album, yet each still has its own unique character. "a fictional past" seems to embark on reflection, thinking about what could have been. The drone-style piece has a steady pace paired with subtle structural changes, trailing into ambient territories that allow the listener to become lost in its aural space."
